The Big Six

Our first born is officially six! It's hard to believe that she will be starting first grade next year. Her "real" birthday was a few weeks ago on June 18th. We took her out that day to get her ears pierced, get lunch, we went out to dinner and had ice cream with grandma and grandpa. She has been begging me for almost 2 years to get her ears pierced but I was worried she wouldn't be able to handle it. Cause I didn't at her age but she was a pro. She didn't cry or complain. She has been acting so much older and mature now that she has them. We didn't do a cake so she said it wasn't her birthday. We took her and a few friends this last Saturday to go see Cars 2 the movie as requested. She has been saving her new out fit that her aunt Janeice bought her for the movie so she finally got to wear it and of course it needed necklaces. After wards we came back to our house and did cake and ice cream. It was a great day and she loved getting to be around friends. We've been a little home bound these days to say the least. Some of my favorite things about you at this age are; you are very helpful when you want to be, you like to help me do the dishes and you LOVE to vacuum, your favorite place to eat is the "taco place" - cafe rio, your favorite food at home is mac & cheese. You LOVE anything with chocolate just like me. You still love strawberries, you have been trying lots of new things although you don't always like them but you will at least try them. You love to play outside with your friends. You ask me everyday at least 3 times, if you can play with Braylon. You love to get dressed up in your dresses with necklaces. You love to help feed your new sister. You really like school. Your favorite color is purple. You love to go to the cabin and be around your grandparents. You would love to have a dog. Right now you are having a very hard time adjusting to the new baby and I'm having a very hard time with you, but hopefully this is just a phase. You're normally a very sweet and kind little girl and I would love to have you back! We love you tons and hope you had a great birthday.

~ 2 Weeks Already ~
It's hard to believe but little Annistyn is already 2 weeks old. It has gone by fast, in fact too fast. We had her 2 week check up today. She has gained some weight and is up to 7lbs 5oz which is good considering she had lost a few ounces at the hospital. She is already sleeping for long stretches at night any where from 7-9 hrs. I was worried this was way too soon but the Doctor says as long as she continues to gain weight to let her sleep. I'm not used to a baby already sleeping so long. I find myself checking her all hrs of the night cause I'm worried I've slept through her crying.I should probably relax and take advantage of it while it lasts. The girls love having a baby in the house. She is the first thing they want to see in the morning. Ella has turned out to be quit the helper. She is very sweet with her and very concerned when she cries. She loves to hold her and help feed her. Rylee is good with her to but likes to "love" on her when she's sleeping which is not fun for me. We love having her in our home and watching her grow.

Our latest addition

~ Introducing Annistyn Rae Lange ~

Born June 08, 2011 7lbs 1oz

Sweet little Annistyn was born on Wednesday at about 10:40am. She is so perfect and tiny. She looks just like her big sister Rylee, when she was little. So far she is a very sleepy baby who would rather snooze all day than eat. Her sisters adore her and hate to see her cry.
They love to help "mother" her and are always wanting to hold her or feed her.
It's been so long since we've had a little one you forget a lot of things. Like; how soft their skin is, how their sweet little cry can melt your heart, how good they smell, how little their hands are, they make you want to do nothing all day but sit and hold them, you thought your life was complete but then you meet them, they put everything into perspective, they bring such a sweet spirit into your home, even though you've just met- you can't imagine your life without them. You also forget how much work they are! We're so excited to finally have her here to hold and love. We are very blessed and lucky to have her in our home. We're looking forward to our new adventure.

Tonight will be our last night as a family of four. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon we will be holding our new little addition. I'm being induced tomorrow and if all goes as planned we will get to meet Annistyn, we can't wait! The girls have been asking every morning for the last week if it's Wednesday yet. They can't wait to hold her and see her. I can't wait to see how big she will be and who she looks like. It's so exciting but also a little nerve racking. Not sure why, I have done this before. I think when it catches you off guard and you don't know the "D" day, you don't have time for the nerves to set in. It's been so long since we've had a little one, I hope it's like riding a bike. Wish us luck!

~ Every mom should be so lucky ~

Rylee and Ella can be the biggest helpers when they want to be. I came out of my room on Saturday to 2 little girls doing the dishes! Not only had our dishwasher been unloaded and the dishes neatly stacked to be put away, but Ella was hard at work being the "scrubber." When I asked what they were doing they said they were helping with the dishes so I wouldn't have to do them. This was very sweet and thoughtful but it also made me feel really bad. I swear I don't make them do the dishes. I do remember being Rylee's age and begging my siblings to do the dishes when it was their turn. Of course they were happy to let me do it. Like Rylee, I had no idea that I would spend the rest of my life doing dishes and I should have enjoyed just being a kid. These are the little things that make it all worth it!
