After almost 3 years of having the ugliest, bachelor pad, of a master bedroom I'm finally getting a new one! I swore when we moved here it would be the first room we did and of course it's basically the last. I always close our door when anyone comes over because it's so tragic! I should have taken a before and after picture to get the full effect. I can hardly wait for it all to get here. I can't wait to get it all put together and have our room finally be a place I want to go to. I want a vintage style room that's very neutral and so pretty you feel like your at a hotel. I think I'm on my way. I can't wait to post pics of it when I'm all done. Maybe I'll start going to bed before 3:00 am? Doubt it, but you never know! Stay tuned for the final pics. I wish my interior decorator lived here. ( Lettie ) I would feel a lot more confident about the final product but I will do my best!

Some Inspiration......

This bed is some what similar to what we bought. These are the same colors I'm going for. No surprise... Tan, cream, white, and soft blue. I wonder where I've seen that in my house?

The nights stands I ordered....

The lamp debate, I can't decide which one I want? What do you like?

I LOVE this bedding. I can't wait for it to get here. I know having a white bedspread with kids is a little silly, I mean stupid, but It's my room not theirs!

Girls just wanna have fun.....

We finally have enough snow for the girls to play in, they are so excited! This has been the best winter ever and we have had hardly any snow. I've loved it!! The girls on the other hand have not. It usually melts before they get out to play in it but not today. Daddy was at work so I was in charge of building the snowmen so don't judge!

So long stinky…..

After 5 years of having a best friend we finally had to get rid of Ella’s blanky “stinky”. She only sucks her thumb when she has her blanket and her teeth were getting really bad so we had to say good bye. I had been dreading it because I knew how hard it would be and how sad it would make her but I finally got the courage to do it. It was emotional even for me to have to do it but she has handled it so well. We washed him, put a bow around it and put it in a box. Maybe because I told her we could keep it and I’d save it for her she has handled it the way she has. She didn’t even cry the first night and went straight to bed. She hasn’t asked for it once! I’m amazed how we’ll she has done. The funny thing is Rylee ended up being the one who cried the first night we took it. We tucked Ella in and when we left the room Rylee was sobbing. When I asked what was wrong she said I feel so bad for her, you took her best friend and how’s she suppose to sleep? Of course this made me feel even worse than I already did. It just goes to show that sometimes in life we don’t do things that we know we should, because we have already predicated the outcome. Sometimes when you’re prepared for the worst it turns out to be no big deal at all.

Ella had her big "Tangled party" on her actual birthday this year. It was a lot of fun to plan and watch it all come together. We had a special guest ( Rapunzel ) come to entertain all of the kids. She was very believable and did a great job. The kids got to listen to stories, dance, sing, get a manners lesson, become princesses and princes, and take fun pics with her. It turned out really cute but was a little crazy with all the kids. We went to Ryann's Rapunzel party last year for her birthday. Ella had been talking about it since last summer so we had to copy Sarah. So thanks for letting us steal your cute idea!

I can't believe Ella is 5! It's crazy how fast it has all gone by. I love getting to go through old pics to post for Birthday's, they bring back so many great memories. It's always a reminder of how fast this goes by. I need to enjoy the good, the bad, and the ugly. Before I know it she will be out on her own. Ella is such a funny and loving little girl. She was by far my best and biggest baby. She never cried and if she did it almost always brought me to tears because she had to be really hurt. She makes up for it now and cries daily about something, careful what you wish for! She loves to be a helper. She isn't good at keeping secrets at all, so if you have one don't tell her! She loves to give me updates when we drive. Mom Annistyn's sleeping, Rylee's kicking the sit, Rylee's touching the windows, Rylee stole your gum, Annistyn's spitting up etc. It can get a little annoying, oh I meant it's helpful. Her favorite saying right now is are you joking me, your kidding right? She loves to tell on Rylee. Her favorite color for the moment is purple. She told me a few days ago she wanted to be a jelly maker when she gets older. I said a jelly maker, why? Cause it's yummy and it would be fun. She is very smart and loves to pretend to do homework with Rylee. She is very eager to learn anything new and is a sponge. She is silly like me when I was little but is a spitting image of Chris and acts a lot like him. She loves playing with friends and asks me daily what we are going to do that is fun for the day. She hates getting dressed and me brushing her hair. She is still obsessed with her blanky or "stinky" as she calls him. Who by the way we are getting rid of this week because she sucks her thumb with him and it is ruining her teeth. It will be a sad day around here. She has had that blanket since she was a baby. I have tons of pictures with her and it. It will be VERY hard for me to take it away. Just the thought of it makes my eyes water, I have no idea how I am going to do it. She brings us so much happiness and joy and all though she was a BIG surprise, I am so glad her and Rylee are close together. I hope they will be best friends when they get older. I can not imagine our family with out her. We love you Ella and hope you had the best birthday and know how much you are loved.

Poor Rylee has been cursed with the Lange teeth. She was the only 1st grader without any missing teeth. With a little help from the dentist she now has 2. About a week ago we were cleaning and Rylee said "mom there's something in my mouth." Expecting to see some food stuck in her teeth, I was shocked to see a new tooth almost all the way up, behind her other tooth that wasn't even loose. Apparently this is the norm for the Lange's so we will probably have to go to the dentist to have most of her baby teeth pulled. The roots were so deep on the 2 he pulled, he said we wouldn't have been able to get them out on our own. She did such a good job and was so brave. Every morning until our appointment she asked "Do I get to get my teeth pulled today?" She was so excited to join the missing teeth club, she didn't think about what she had to do to become a member. Because it's her 2 bottom teeth you don't really notice she has missing teeth like you do with most kids. She loves to show anyone and everyone so look out.

One of Annistyn's favorite things to do is to take a bath! She reminds me of a girl at the spa. She gets so excited when she see her tub because she knows whats coming next. It's hard to believe this little girl used to cry for the first 2 months she took a bath. She is 7 months old and is getting so big. She is sitting up but still needs a little support. She just started saying Daddy and Ella last week. It is so cute! I love this little girl! I don't remember life with out her.

This is what happens when Daddy is in charge. The babies end up in "unapproved
" play places. Yes she is laying in the Barbie house!
