What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas.....

We took our first road trip with out kids. It was a welcomed break. Vegas was the closest place we could go with the short amount of time we had. We figured out how to play in Vegas for free. It requires will power and the ability to say no. If your willing to give up 2 hours of your day and go to a time share presentation, you can do the rest of the night for free. So we did. We got to see carrot top, who's hilarious, free dinner, and the shark reef. We were hoping to get a free helicopter ride but couldn't find one. When we weren't walking every where we were laying out at the pool. The wax museum was a highlight. I've never been to one before.
I finally got to meet Oprah! Well sort of..... We got to meet a lot of people we've always wanted to meet, to bad they weren't real! It's amazing how some of the statues looked so real others not so much. Beyonce was a pretty bad one, I couldn't figure out who she was. Chris finally did.
I wish I had taken a picture. She was a white girl with blond hair.
I finally got to kiss him.....
What's up McGraw.....
I've always wanted to do this.
Nothing like golfing with Tiger......

Mom when I turn five can I......

So cute little Rylee has decided her entire life is going to change when she turns five. Poor thing is going to be so disappointed to find out every things still the same. I am still not sure how to explain although she's five she still has to wait for a few months before schools starts. There will be some tears shed on that one. I want to remember all of her big ideas. So here's just a few of my favorites.
Mom when I am five......
1. Can I have your room
2. Can I ride in the back seat
2. Can I get married or something
3. Can I climb out the back of the car when you drop me off at school
4. Can I get a job
5. Can I seat in the front seat of the car
6.Can I wear earrings, finally something she can do!
7. Can I stay up all night
8. Can I start taking showers, yes you can, you broke our tub!
9. Can I drive the car
10. Can I eat more breakfast

Liz's Shower.....

I finally throw my first "grown up" shower and had so much fun doing it! I am so used to doing kid parties it was a great change. The best part was getting to see it all come together. Thanks for all of your help, Sarah. We had a vintage theme with mismatched china, pictures of the bride and groom, loose pearls on the tables, candles, wine glasses, and of course a vintage bridal dress cake. I have to say the cake was my favorite part. I found it on line and fell in love, and had to have it. It was my surprise for the bride. It was so dang pretty though you didn't want to cut it. I decided frames with photos of the bride and groom turn out to be a great shower gift. We played a fun game called I've never. We made up our own rules. Anytime Liz had done something that one of the guests had never done, she had to put a piece of gum in her mouth. She was such a good sport and it was so entertaining to watch. Poor Liz has done way too much! Thanks to everyone who came and helped out with food.

Yummy.....

This is my favorite treat,it's prefect for Valentine's Day!
Be careful there kind of addicting!
Super Easy & the kids can help.
1.) Ingredients- square pretzels, Hersey's kiss candies w/carmels, & a bag of M & M's
2.)Place Hershey kiss on top of pretzels in the oven @ 325 degrees for 4 min.
I have been cutting the tips off the candies. It helps the carmel melt.
3.) The kisses don't melt all the way. Remove from oven.
4.) Place the m&m's on top firmly & your done!

We officially have no more babies at our house! After 4 years of back to back kids we sadly no longer have diapers, cribs, or baby chairs. The week after Ella's 3rd Birthday she came home from daycare with a letter informing us she had until February 9th to be potty trained or she was getting kicked out! Can you say panic!! I've never done daycare before and had no idea there was such a rule. After lots of starbursts, knuckles, and high fives we've achieved success! She was dead set against it but after just 2 days it was done. She only had one accident. So the best advice I've been given for potty training is......
If they pee or poop their pants they have to take a cold shower. It works! I know it sounds really mean. It's tough love but I only had to do it once. Ella went back to daycare for the first time today and she was great all day with no accidents! I can't believe it worked! What a relief.

What would I do with out my sisters.....

I always think how lucky I am to have a bunch of sisters and not all brothers! When it comes to sisters I feel like I hit the jack pot. My sisters are some of the most creative, beautiful, caring, funny, and talented people I know. I would be lost with out them. Even though they can talk me into doing things I don't want to.... Like performing SNL skits at birthday parties in front of perfect strangers. I can't imagine my life with out these 3 ladies and wanted to give them a shout out. They have helped me through hard times and always seem to have the best advice. I am grateful to have 2 little girls who will one day love being each others sister!

Top 10 Things About Having Sisters:

1. They'll help you decorate your house and pull together last minute card club ideas so your not a loser.

2. They always know what to say and how to put you in your place.

3. You have a best friend for life.

4. You can share each others clothes.

5. They make the best shopping buddies because they'll tell you the truth.

6. You get to go on a sister -cation once a year. ( vacation with your sisters )

7. You inherit awesome brother in laws because they all married great guys.

8. Never a dull moment.

9. Your surrounded by other women who look like you and talk like you. Suddenly you don't feel so tall.

10. There's always something to look forward to when we get together.

Last weekend we had a party for Ella's Birthday. It was one of my favorites we've done. It was really low key and thank fully not stressful! I did forget to invite a few people including my mom! Seriously this whole working thing is the pits, my brain barely functions these days. Kasey's cute husband has taken to making cakes, and made Ella an adorable cake for her party. It turned out so cute and was one of the highlights. Ella had so much fun and has declared she loves Birthdays! Thank you to everyone who came and helped us celebrated her special day!
