Kids Say The Darndest Things

The girls and I have been having some really funny conversations lately. I want to remember this when they are older so I thought I would post some of my favs:

Rylee: I'm not allergic to dogs mom just the ones with black hair.

Ella: Rylee are you allergic to black crayons?

Ella: Mommy why do you put that stuff on, is it so you can look like a ghost?

( watching me put concealer on, apparently I need to use another color)

Rylee: Mom when I go to college can I bring Ella with me cause I'm really gone to miss her!

Me: She can visit you and will be in college with you in a few years.

Rylee: I'm going to stay close to home cause I would miss you guys too much.

Rylee: I don't want to grow up, can I live with you and Dad forever?

Me: You don't ever have to move out Rylee. We would LOVE for your to live with us forever.

Rylee: When I leave for college I'm going to bring all my stuffed animals with me.

Me: Trying to talk to Ella about being nice to our friends and how we should play. I told her we don't scratch our friends it hurts.

Ella: Well then cut my nails mommy.

Rylee: When I have kids I'm going to let them do what ever they want. Except I won't let them play with my glass.

Me: You won't let them play with your glass, what does that mean?

Rylee: My glass in the dining room, I don't want them to break it!

Ella: Mommy just use one tangle, I don't like two. I just want a little pony tail to the side.

Tangle means hair tie some how she decided that is what they are called. Just one means no pig tails!

Rylee: Mommy when we get older what's our new name going to be?

Me: What do you mean what's your new name going to be? Do you mean when you get married what will your last name be?

Rylee: Yes, what's my husbands name going to be?

Me: I have no idea Rylee. You won't meet him for a long time. It could be anything maybe you'll meet him at college.

Rylee: You don't know who I'm going to marry?

Rylee: I don't want to get old I want to be a kid forever. I don't want to use one of those walking things, my neck would look weird and wrinkly, and my arms will get those hanging things!

Me: Me either Rylee. Getting old is no fun.

There's nothing more entertaining than watching four and five year olds play soccer! My favorite part is getting all the feedback in the car ride on the way home. Ella loved to tell me how the kids wouldn't share and they wouldn't kick the ball to her. Rylee was telling Ella she should stop standing around and play soccer. Ella proceeded to tell me "mom I'm not standing there, I'm watching all the people!" They almost look like the same kid out there on the field. It took them a few weeks to get into but we will probably keep them in for a while. They will be starting again in July. Hopefully Chris won't work every Saturday and he can come with me to cheer them on. I guess if he can't be there at least grandma and grandpa make pretty good replacements! Not a bad trade.

Little Ms. Rye........

Rylee is so grown up these days and is becoming such
a good little helper and caring big sister.
She has been saying and doing some of the funniest
and thoughtful things.
I want to remember this when she is sixteen and I want to send her away.
We had Monday off and I decided to sleep in. Rylee came into my room and said "Mom we cleaned up our rooms, the loft, and the kitchen for you. Now you can wake up and you wont have to do it." She cleared all the dishes and put them in the sink, wiped down our table, and swept my floor. When I came out to see what they had done she said and we also put back the extra chair where it goes. Our dining room chairs are really heavy and I had no idea how she did that on her own. When I asked how she did that she said it was team work mom!
Me and Ella moved the chair back together. One of cutest things she's ever said.
Rylee has decided she really wants to go to Disneyland and has been talking about it since Christmas. I have explained that it is really expensive and we will have to save our money to go. So her new thing is to remind Chris and I not to spend money at the store so we can go. For Valentine's Day both Ella and Rylee got a card from their great grandma with a dollar in it. Rylee opened her card and handed me her dollar and said her you go mom, can you save that for Disneyland. Then she she told Ella please give mommy your money so we can go to Disneyland! So sweet and cute too bad we will need a lot more where that came from.

It's offical we're having a........

We found out today that we are for sure having another little girl! ~ Apparently we are in the business of collecting girls! Can't wait to pay for all of these weddings. We are excited to get a room together for her and pick out a name. We have no idea what to name another little girl. Ella has decided we should name her Natlie after their baby sitter but other than that no real ideas. Her due date is June 15th. We can't wait to meet her and squeeze her. The girls are very excited to be my helpers. Ella has informed Rylee that it is her baby cause Rylee wanted a brother. I guess we'll just have to have one more, right?

Ella Bella Turns 4

Our baby is finally four! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. You started your day today by coming in my room asking if you were finally four today. You are getting so big and are so smart. You can spell your name and think your last name is bella but were trying to convince you that it is Lange. You have a funny little accent that some may say is from Jersey. We like to make you say funny words. You insist on having an opinion when I do your hair. You tell me all the time just one "tangle" mommy. That means no pigtails. Some how you decided that a tangle is a hair tie. If I style your hair any other way you tell me you'll look stupid and the kids will laugh at you.You are finally becoming a little less whinny and love to entertain. You look like your dad and act like him to. Although when you try to make people laugh and play your silly games your more like mommy. You still love your blanket and take it all around the house. You and Rylee are becoming best friends and you both look out for each other. You love to be the mommy when you play house. You tell Rylee to call your boyfriend if she needs anything. You love your baby sitter Natalie. You just started sunbeams and like it lots better than nursery. Your favorite thing to eat right now is cheese burger mac & cheese and strawberries with whip cream. You decided you wanted to go to Pizza Planet and have a doggie birthday cake for your birthday. We all know that Pizza Planet isn't a real place but you don't and that's okay. We'll go to a pretend one. We love you and are so grateful to have you in our family.

Family Pictures.....

We had our annual family pictures done in November.
Once again Brooke did an amazing job! These are just a few of my favorites.
The girls took so many cute pictures it will be hard to pick which ones to frame. I love being able to look back at these to see how much they change. They are both getting so big and turning into such cute girls. I wonder if we will have another cute girl to add to our photos next year or if Chris will finally get that boy? In 2 weeks we will finally get an answer.

It's hard to believe that Christmas has already come and gone. This was such a fun year with the girls. They were both so into it and very excited for Santa to come. Santa went a little crazy this year and forgot his budget. We had Chris's family and my family over for breakfast on Christmas morning. We had Lettie and Kyle here for Christmas which has never happened before and was very nice to have us all together. The girls loved their bikes and all of their other stuff. Can't wait to see what's in store for us next year.

Christmas Eve all ready for Santa in our PJ'S.......
Looks like they made it on the "nice" list after all......

Uncle Kyle bought the "IT" gift this year. It was a cardboard house that you color.....

Ella got the letters right in her name.... Don't use her door Rylee
